We are the victims of the George Town flat rate system.
A small group of industry ratepayers in George Town are now paying 21.997c in the dollar AAV. This council also set a minimum of $10,000 for this group ratepayers in the 2008/09 year.
Hardly fair & equitable.

Hi
In view of the bypassing of Brighton and Pontville with the new road, what is being done in these areas to make them attractive enough for travellers to decide to take the old road. Is this being considered? It would be a pity for the businesses to suffer from reduction in traffic. Other towns have had to paint murals, telephone poles, or use topiary for an added attraction so I expect Brighton and Pontville will have to provide an extra incentive also. This may already be in progress so excuse me if I am a little behind the times.
